Description
Français : Ce mois est illustré par la cavalcade traditionnelle du 1er mai : des jeunes gens vont à cheval, précédés de joueurs de trompettes. Ils partent en forêt chercher des rameaux qu'ils porteront sur la tête ou autour du cou. À cette occasion, les dames arborent une longue robe verte, comme c'est ici le cas de trois d'entre elles. Plusieurs personnages portent des feuillages dans leur coiffure. Les constructions de l'arrière-plan ont donné lieu à des interprétations divergentes. Il pourrait s'agir du palais de la Cité à Paris avec le Châtelet à gauche, la Conciergerie et la tour de l'Horloge.
